How it plays
-
Plan the stops
Tap floors to queue stops. The lift stops only where you tell it, even on the floor it starts from.
-
Press run
At every stop, riders bound for that floor get out first. Then whoever is waiting gets in, while there is room.
-
Hit par
Par is the fewest stops that get everyone home. Match it for three stars. One or two over still earns two.
Ninety levels. One ladder.
The first two levels teach by pointing at the floor to tap. After that, every few levels add one new rule, and the late game combines all of them.
-
Levels 1–10
The basics
A small car, full floors and return trips. Learn to batch riders who share a destination.
-
Level 11
Closed floors
The lift can't stop there, only pass through. Plan the route around them.
-
Level 16
Stairs
Some closed floors have a staircase. Drop riders at the landing and they walk the rest of the way.
-
Level 21
Heavy passengers
They take two spaces in the car. Leave room, or come back for them.
-
Level 35
Alarm floors
One stop there per plan, no more. Everyone going in or out has to use it.
-
Level 54
Impatient passengers
They wait a set number of stops, then give up and leave. Reach them before the count runs out.
-
Levels 73–90
Everything at once
Closed floors, alarms, heavy and impatient riders in the same building. Par still holds.
In the game
-

The fine print, in large print
Ascenseur is free. Here is exactly what that means.
- No account
- There is no sign-in and nothing to register. Open it and play.
- Plays offline
- Every level works without a connection. Only the ads need one, the game never does.
- Progress stays on your phone
- Stars, hints and settings are saved on the device and never uploaded. The ads send some data to Google; the privacy policy lists it.
- Ads wait their turn
- An occasional full-screen ad can appear after you clear a level. Never during one, never after a failed run, and never in the first ten levels.
- Hints are optional
- You start with three. When they run out you can watch an ad for three more, or keep thinking. Nothing is for sale.
- You decide about ads
- In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Google's consent form asks before ads use your data. On iPhone and iPad, Apple's prompt asks before the advertising ID is used for tracking.
